Our Team is made up from paid and volunteer staff (approximately 80 people). They all share a passion for the community and believe in what they do. Each team member is placed in a position that allows their gifts and talents to flourish. Every department of Inspire is lead by managers that oversee it and members of the team that help run it to the best of their abilities.

A Knight's Tale. - Because it is set in medieval Europe (and my favourite period of history) but at the same time laughs at itself. It’s full of humorous moments as it blends modern moments with ancient rituals.

We are innovative, willing to take a risk. Will try anything to help others and I really do believe we are making a difference!

My personality I think is friendly, caring, helpful, funny, outgoing….I don’t know…whatever
What’s your favourite food & why?
My favourite food is Chinese, KFC and buttered chicken because it’s yummy, (I just love food full stop) but I shouldn’t like it because they are fattening and I wish my favourite foods were fruit and salads.
What’s you favourite movie & why?
My favourite movie is Titanic because I was interested the whole time. Even though parts are sad it is also romantic, and I thought it was more of a chic flick but my hubby likes it as well.
Why do you like working at Inspire Community?
I like working at Inspire because I like helping people, and being part of a team who are God fearing people who have a lot of faith.

What’s your personality like?
I’m naturally an introverted person however when the occasion calls for it I can be quite outgoing, the life of a group as it were. I particularly enjoy building and growing individuals into teams that focus on a common goal. I really value organisation and structure as I believe these to be critical to the sustainability of any organisation. In order to maintain sustainability we must develop the delicate balance of flexibility and structure, the ability to be flexible so that we can continue to meet the evolving needs of our community while maintaining clear boundaries that we can hold ourselves and others accountable to.
What’s your favourite food & why?
So many… The top two would have to be; Salt & Pepper Calamari from Dede’s restaurant in Abbotsford. The other would be a Garlic Duck dish that I had in Europe the best part of a decade ago, but the memory still stays with me.
What’s you favourite movie & why?
V for Vendetta and the Bourne Trilogy. I really enjoy the dialogue and action. They are action movies with an appreciation for character development, all winners in my book.
Why do you like working at Inspire Community?
I like to be able to contribute to the positive development of other individuals. By changing the skills of the individual to you can give them a better variety of options in the workforce; you can empower them to become masters of their own future. I enjoy being able to contribute to a better equipped community one person and one family at a time.

A comforting casserole, brings back memories of making my first one with my Nan and any Dessert (except Tiramisu)

I like all kinds of movies from Platoon to Titanic, any movie that can make me smile, laugh or cry. I like older movies too, starring Gene Kelly, Tony Curtis, Jane Powell, Debbie Reynolds classic Saturday afternoon viewing.

Savouries are my favourite. I love the taste.

My favourite movie is Overboard, starring Goldie Horne. I love the story line of this movie. It’s a comedy with a great message. Never forget your humble beginnings and where you come from. The main character was humbled into knowing what the real world was about and reality beyond our own understanding.

I’m a melancholic person; I have an eye for detail and like to keep things simple. I’m quite laid back and like to just go with the flow.

I like my mum’s Portuguese chicken. She slowly cooks the chicken with lots of vegies in a really big pot full of salsa. It the best!!!

Mmm, I’m not sure. I love a good chick flick but action movies are the best as long as the have a good story line.

Bubbly, I have a very loud personality, which includes: outgoing, friendly and cheeky. I will always welcome you with a friendly smile.

I don’t think I have a favourite food choice as long as it isn’t healthy I am all good. But I do sometimes have urges to eat in the healthy circle, though I am very picky.
What’s you favourite movie & why?
My number one movie of all time is Dirty Dancing No1. What can I say I love dancing and the movie has LOTS of dancing and romance.
Why do you like working at Inspire Community?
I like working at Inspire because of the great atmosphere that we have. We not only learn from one another, but we work as a team to get the work done. I also like working at Inspire because I love people and I love finishing a good day of work knowing that I am contributing to the team and helping out a helping hand to the community.

What’s your personality like?
I am a people person. I enjoy being around people and I’m quit easy to get along with. I think I’m reasonable though I like my own way of doing things. But I can give in to other ways with reasonable arguments. I can follow direction as well as give direction and I’m quit creative at problem solving, I enjoy it.
What’s your favourite food & why?
I like toast with jam and cream. Because it's rough and crunchy but smooth and sweet at the same time. I also like a good veggie soup or beef stew, but my toast with jam and cream is easy to make and it’s what I always go for comfort.
What’s you favourite movie & why?
I do like Dirty Dancing. I like the dancing, the romance, it’s funny and sad. And my kids watched it so many times it’s engraved on my brain. I really don’t have a favourite movie, but I enjoy any movie that’s funny, light and easy to watch.
Why do you like working at Inspire Community?
I am given the opportunity to use the skills I have learnt. The staff is super supportive to an extent I haven’t seen before and I feel appreciated.

How can you decide? There are so many movies that have had an impact on me. Some of them are Steel Magnolias, Titanic, and Beaches. They all are humanistic stories that have told somehow the story of my life.
