The free Children’s Week event held on Thursday, 27th October 2011 at Edwin Wheeler Oval was a success! Organised by Inspire Community Services and Mission Australia - Community For Children this event was one of many through the week were children’s right to enjoy childhood was celebrated.

Member of Parliament Chris Hayes addressed the crowd and also applauded both Inspire Community and Mission Australia - Miller Pathways for being part of the occasion.

The day was full of fun with picnics, sausage sizzle, jumping castle, merry-go-round, craft, painting children's activities, and many other activities. Also present were the RSPCA, AFL, Bicycles NSW, local Police, and local Fire Brigade. There were many local performances including a choir and a dance group performances of children with special needs.

Thousands of children and their families around the country were involved in activities and events during "The Week" and we are proud to have been a part of this event once more.
