Constant Crying to Helping others

3 years ago my marriage broke down and my husband and I divorced. I had two young children and soon found that I was in financial trouble. My husband had bought new instruments for work and we had put them on our credit card, but after the divorce he wouldn’t help with any payments and the card was in my name.

I struggled to make ends meet, but was not getting anywhere. My situation overwhelmed me and I just wanted to cry all the time. I hated getting up each morning – the difficulties and hassles were becoming more every day. Opening the mail terrified me. I knew I had to push on for the sake of my boys, but some days were really hard. I heard of CAP and rang CAP Liverpool. Henry came to see me and offered help and hope. I now pay into the CAP Budget Account, CAP is dealing with my creditors and I have a huge feeling of relief. It’s like a transformation. I’m learning how to manage my own finances better and I don’t have that constant harassing worry any more.

CAP has helped me so much that I’m now able to volunteer some of my time to help others with problems and I’m attending the local CAP Centre church too. Thank you CAP and thank you God for people who are willing to help others!
